Health Awareness Clinics

India is showing increasing statistics in AIDS prevalence. Orissa is among the states becoming increasingly affected. At many project villages the Routs have organized the awareness program. Their focus has been on education of communities on the causes & prevention of HIV/AIDS through school health, women's group.

Government statistics show that Puri (the holiest city of India) will become the capital of AIDS prevalence in the near future if precautions are not taken early. AIDS is increasing alarmingly in the boarder districts of Orissa state. The innocent tribal groups are becoming more affected by it. These poor people work in the fields of others and are more prone to exploitation. The Routs are surveying these areas and are conducting frequent awareness seminars involving school children and women's groups.

A Video program would be more effective and we are praying for God's provision for a TV/VIDEO set to carry the awareness program village to village.
